Baseball, Key Lime Pie, Funky Towns and Friends (and a Train for Good Measure)
March 1 ~ March 26, 2017
Off on a new adventure! Drove to Deptford, New Jersey this afternoon to spend the night before traveling the rest of the way to Lorton, Virginia where we will put our car on the train and then board the train ourselves heading to Sanford, Florida. It's really kind of amazing to see them load and unload the cars.

From there, our travels will take us to Fort Lauderdale for a night before finishing the journey down to Key West, where we will spend a week taking in the sights with our friends, Peter and Betty Lou. We've rented a cottage in the Truman Annex and look forward to visiting a number of places we visited on our trip some 12 years ago: Truman White House, Butterfly Conservatory, Hemingway House, and the Southernmost Point.
Then we will travel to Tampa, where I have rented another place as our "home base" while we see a half dozen spring training games - some at Steinbrenner Field and others as the Yankees go visiting other teams.
Finally, after a week or so, we will begin the drive home - stopping to see Bob and Lynne Meisch (Bermuda friends), Donna and Dale Harkness, a couple of train museums, my cousin Janis (who I haven't seen since we were kids), and then finally, my brother Jim before arriving back home on March 27th.
