On the Road Again! Train Adventure 2021: June 7 ~ June 23
June 20 - 21, 2021 ~ A Short Adventure in Chicago A good night's sleep in the Fairfield Inn and Suites works wonders. We woke late and scurried downstairs for the complimentary breakfast. Then we headed down to the Riverwalk to catch the 11:15 Wendella Cruises architectural tour. We've done the boat tour along the Chicago River many times and enjoy it every single time. This time was no exception. Our tour guide, was knowledgeable and interesting to listen to. She has been teaching history in the Chicago Public Schools for three years, and this is her summertime gig. When we returned after our tour, we walked along the Riverwalk to find a restaurant where we enjoyed some hamburgers and wine/beer. Then it was back to the hotel for a bit of rest and relaxation before our next adventure -- LIVE in person JAZZ at Andy's Jazz Club - just three blocks from the hotel.
